Diablo Valley College Maps -- 3D VRML Renderings

Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) datasets were produced with a 3x vertical exaggeration. This allows one to view the DVC campus in 3D with any VRML capable browser. It should be noted that building heights in this model are not representative of the real world heights of the campus buildings. They are merely extrusions based on the digitized vector data created with the photogrammetric images.

One can easily download plug-ins for Internet Explorer and Firefox to explore the VRML renderings. A good lightweight VRML plug-in that is free and works with both Internet Explorer and Firefox is Cortona3D. The download is available here.

If your browser is already VRML capable just click on any image below to explore the VRML datasets.
